The fabric is a lightweight fine cotton with a repeat pattern of embroidered eyelets and embroidered motifs along the hem. Across the Sahel it is traditionally worn by women, valued for how well it breathes and for its ornament. Here it is cut into menswear.
On the runway the two shirts are layered, short sleeve over long.
Overshirt: collarless, button front, long sleeves, side vents edged in embroidered trim, copper emblem embroidered across the back
Short sleeve shirt: collarless, button front, boxy fit, side vents edged in embroidered trim
Pant: drop crotch, cut just below the knee, belt loops, button fly, embroidered hem
Fit: relaxed and boxy. Take your usual size, or size down for a closer fit.
Fabric and care: lightweight fine cotton with embroidered eyelets. Hand wash cold or machine wash on a gentle cycle, inside out. Line dry in the shade and iron on the reverse.
